2/16から開催の同展に出品。企画展テーマはサバイバルのためのシェルター。

ヤノベ・ケンジ、津村耕佑、牛嶋均さんら同様のテーマを追求する作家と一緒に先週から設営を進めてきた。今回初めてマイケル・ラコウィッツ氏*に会い、WoBoプロジェクト（『子どもと遊ぶ家づくり』参照）に関心を持っていることで意気投合。筆者は10トン以上の新聞紙（中国新聞提供）で、6軒の「新聞紙の家」を建てた。ボランティアで新聞紙を束ねたり積んでくれたりした広島工大、広島市大の学生さんに感謝（神戸芸工大ドーム研メンバーも作業）。アフリカ・ドゴン族の集落のよう。子どもにも好評、三軒繋がった新聞紙ドームを出たり入ったり。シリアスなテーマ、原爆ドームの地にドームを建てることの意味を、見学者の観想など聴きながらゆっくり考えてみたい。
